Smartcom Telephone registers with the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) to obtain IP addresses. ARIN requires all end users and ISPs to document their use of IP addresses. To adequately provide this information to ARIN, Smartcom Telephone requires all customers to complete the IP justification form for the use of address space equal to or greater than a /29. Smartcom Telephone ’s policies are based on RFC2050 (http://tools.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2050.txt). Smartcom Telephone abides by ARIN’s policies to promote efficient use of IP address space.
Requester must show EXACTLY how address assignments will be utilized and must provide appropriate details. Should Smartcom Telephone determine the assigned address space is not being utilized efficiently, Smartcom Telephone reserves the right to revoke the assignment and reassign an appropriate number of IP addresses.
