{"id":171,"date":"2024-07-03T18:29:06","date_gmt":"2024-07-03T23:29:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smartcom.kmclient.com\/legal\/affordable-connectivity-program\/"},"modified":"2024-12-11T15:41:16","modified_gmt":"2024-12-11T20:41:16","slug":"affordable-connectivity-program","status":"publish","type":"legal","link":"https:\/\/smartcomtelephone.com\/legal\/affordable-connectivity-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Affordable Connectivity Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is the Affordable Connectivity Program?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a U.S. government program run by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fcc.gov\/ACP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program<\/a>&nbsp;to help low-income households pay for internet service and connected devices like a laptop or tablet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are likely eligible if your household\u2019s income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line, or if you or someone you live with currently receives a government benefit like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, WIC, Pell Grant, or Free and Reduced-Price Lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your household is&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.affordableconnectivity.gov\/do-i-qualify\/\">eligible<\/a>, you could receive:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Up to a $30\/month discount on your internet service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Up to a $75\/month discount if your household is on qualifying Tribal lands<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (with a co-payment of more than $10 but less than $50)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A low cost service plan that may be fully covered through the ACP*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>* Through a separate non-FCC initiative, additional no cost plans may be available to Affordable Connectivity Program enrollees. To receive the connected device discount, consumers need to enroll in the ACP with a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fcc.gov\/affordable-connectivity-program-providers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">participating provider that offers connected devices<\/a>&nbsp;(Note: not all internet company offer device discounts.)
